This house is no longer standing. The last family to live here was the family of George Elliott. They were the first family to move into the council houses in Long Street Road, probably c1935. Within a few weeks of the family moving out, this house collapsed. It is said that the risk of collapse was so great in the families last weeks here that they hardly slept at night for fear of being buried! |
