This 19th century house was demolished shortly after this photograph was taken.  It had stood empty for nearly 50 years, had no electricity and no water, toilet, sink or bath in the main house.

The new house on the site of New Buildings farm is in the style of a New England house.  It has won prizes for energy efficient design.
