These two attached cottages stood at the junction of Cook Oak Lane (Newport Road) with Gold Street.
The cottage nearest the road had land to the west, up to Gold Street, and had its entrance on the west side. The cottage further from the road had land to the east, and its entrance on the east side of the building. For may years the cottages belonged to the Feoffee trust for the poor. The cottages were demolished, probably in the 1970s, and replaced by 1 Newport Road. |
